Kombrink completes freshman season
Courtney Kombrink finished her freshman season with the
Prairie Stars of University of Illinois-Springfield. Courtney was a setter and
played in 22 games adding 52 assists which was good for 2.36/game - 2nd best
average on the team. Courtney will study social work at UIS.

Rozenkranz finishes freshman season at SIU-E
Haley finished her freshman year at SIU-E, she played in 24 games and had 23
digs. SIUE finished 13-14 on the season.

Hayley Zika playing at LLCC
Hayley Zika finished her freshman year at Lincoln Land Community College in
Springfield IL. Haylay was a 3 year varsity hitter for Freeburg. At Haley's
signing, head coach Dietz at LLCC adds "I'm excited Hayley is committed to
Lincoln Land. I think with her versatility and athleticism, she will be able to
contribute immediately."

Touchette playing for CMU
Melanie Touchette completed her freshman year at Central Methodist
University where she will be a defensive specialist. She played in nearly every
game as CMU had a very good year at 26-11. Melanie was a four year defensive
specialist with Belleville West High School and will study business at CMU.

Forcade playing at Stephens College
Shannon Forcade finished her freshman campaign at Stephens College in
Columbia MO. Forcade was a 4-year starter and setter at Freeburg High School.
She will study interior design and merchandising. Stephens finished 2008 with a
9-19 record.

Katie Becker finishes freshman year at UIS
Katie Becker joined former Heat teamate Courtney Kombrink at the University
of Illinois - Springfield. Becker was a middle hitter/blocker at Mater Dei High
School in Breese and will study visual arts and communication at UIS. To view

Kelsey Biggs signs with Lindenwood University
Kelsey Biggs continued her volleyball career with the Lions of Lindenwood
University in St. Charles MO. Biggs is a graduate of Edwardsville High School
where she was a 3 year starter as a setter. She will study business at
Lindenwood. The Lions finished 2008 with a record of 35-9, won the HAAC
Conference, HAAC Conference Tournament, and made a run at the NAIA National
Title
